Dennis is only the fourth managing partner Timpson Garcia, LLP, CPAs and Consultants has had since its founding in 1924. Dennis is responsible for the firm’s management consultant practice. He has extensive experience in all phases of accounting, from the preparation of personal, business, and estate and trust tax returns to performance of audit, review and compilation services. His experience includes servicing clients in the areas of: construction contractors and subcontractors; manufacturers (pallets, wire mesh, metal fabrication, and paint); wholesalers (construction hardware and used cars); various types of personal and professional service businesses (advertising, travel visa procurement, cemetery/crematorium and its related trusts, engineering firm, etc.); cities and special districts; not-for-profit health and welfare organizations including Single Audit Act applications: not-for-profit and profit oriented businesses in the home health care field; retail clothing; and restaurants.
In addition to these, Dennis has done business consulting services regarding due diligence for acquisitions and assisting in the sales of various companies. From 2000 to 2005, Dennis served as the Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of a company with offices in San Francisco, CA, Washington DC, New York City, NY, and a business unit in London, United Kingdom.
Dennis holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).
Dennis was a member of the Board of Directors and past president and treasurer of the Alzheimer Services of the East Bay and was given the Summit Award for Excellence in Volunteerism.
Elaine, is a partner in Timpson Garcia, LLP, CPAs and Consultants, and is responsible for the firm’s estate and trust practice. She has extensive experience in all phases of the firm’s practice from the preparation of personal, business, and estate and trust tax returns to the performance of audit, review and complition services. Her experience includes servicing clients in the areas of: retail, wholesale, manufacturing, insurance brokerages, professional service organizations, property development and management, and not-for-profit health and welfare organizations including Single Audit applications.
Elaine is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). She is active with the East Bay Chapter of CalCPA, having served as chair of various committees and is currently a member of the Board of Directors.
Elaine is the Treasurer of Soroptimist International of Oakland, which is part of the world's largest and oldest classified service organization for executive and professional women. She was on the Board of Directors of Volunteers of America Bay Area, Inc., the East Bay Agency for Children and the community advisory board of Providence Hospital.
Elaine is fluent in Cantonese.
Bill is a partner of Timpson Garcia, LLP, CPAs and Consultants and is responsible for the quality control function of the firm’s accounting and audit practice and the firm’s internal IT requirements. He has extensive experience in all phases of accounting, from the preparation of tax returns to performance of audit, review and compilation services. His experience includes servicing clients in the areas of: agricultural cooperatives; health insurance and health care organizations; manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors; trade associations; attorneys and professional corporations; real estate; contractors; transportation; continuing care retirement communities; not-for-profit health and welfare organizations, including Single Audit applications.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (1976), Bill joined the firm in 1976, received his CPA certificate in May, 1980 and was made a partner in October, 1985.
Bill holds memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) and is a past member of the CalCPA Peer Review Committee. He is a past chairperson of the CalCPA Accounting and Auditing Conference, CalCPA East Bay Chapter Credit Grantors Committee, and California Group of Accounting Firm’s Information Technology Committee. He is a current member and past president of the Rotary Club of Dublin, California and the treasurer of the Dublin Partners in Education.
